Preliminary Observations

The following are the preliminary observations of the condition of the vehicle (noted after disconnecting the fuel pump relay):

• Current mileage:

• The clear coat on the top of the roof, hood and trunk, at best, need polishing, and at worst reapplication (paint job).

• The black gloss paint on the side mirrors needs to be removed and reapplied, due to weathering.

• The tires are in surprisingly a good condition and are not cracked, and are holding air with no leaks since last inflation at the end of winter.

• The engine/compartment requires a cleaning from dirt... no oil leaks observed or detected.

• The engine oil is clean, and up to normal level.

• The transmission fluid is up to level, and has normal (clean) coloration.

• The battery is dead, and is best replaced... I've checked, and Wal-Mart have the best deal on price and warranty.

• The fuel cap is not coming off (key is not working), and will have to 'drill the lock.'

• The inside door pull-handles/arm-rest and the steering wheel are very sticky to the touch.

• The engine turns; tested by applying ratchet to crankshaft and rotating it.

• Windshield-wiper fluid reservoir is very low, and needs cleaning.

• The brakes seem to be functional (firm), and the brake fluid reservoir is still toped-off.

• The power-steering fluid reservoir is full to normal volume.

• When rolling vehicle (by pushing it), the suspension sounds squeaky, but that can be due to lack of use (try to spray lubricant, or, use ATP AT-205 if needed, on moving/rubber components).

• weather/plastic/rubber seals on trim at bottom of windshield needs to be replaced, and trim repainted matte black.

• The letter "S" of the left fender badge "Cutlass Supreme S" is missing.

• Flush fuel lines, and then check fuel pressure.

• After ridding the fuel cell from the old fuel, and replacing the original cell with a new and refueled one, I anticipate that the engine will start-up promptly!
